Google: Global Fixtures

Over 4 years at Google Global Retail I collaborated with our Creative, Brand, Partner Marketing, and Production teams, as well as outside agencies, to design in-store signage and fixtures and set global brand standards. Here is a small selection of that work.

Most Google third-party retailer fixtures feature a hardware image and logo for the main graphic, and simple icons and copy for the commit section. For this Target fixture we were able to do something a little more interesting to show how Google’s family of products work together, including streaming entertainment and smart home partners.

While US fixtures generally have just the one large graphic, many of our mobile fixtures in international markets had an additional space just beneath which we wanted to utilize to convey key messaging. I worked with our research team and creative director to develop a template and guidelines for our international teams to leverage, as every fixture’s signage space is a different size and shape. We also developed individual 4x4” cards that could be placed on-shelf for those fixtures without this additional space at eye level.

This Best Buy endcap is a typical example of a third-party retailer fixture.
